A dependable reservation workflow begins with the business rules. Availability, service duration, party size, staff assignment and confirmation requirements should be decided before automation is connected.
Collect the minimum useful information
Ask for the customer name, contact method, requested date and time, and the service-specific details staff need. Avoid collecting information that does not support the booking.
Define what counts as confirmed
Some businesses can confirm instantly. Others need a manager or staff member to review the request. The customer should hear a clear difference between “confirmed” and “submitted for review.”
Plan exceptions
Late requests, large groups and unavailable times should follow a specific backup process. The How It Works page shows the wider call-to-action flow.
